License

Welcome to ShadCN Store. This License Agreement outlines the terms and conditions for using our products, including components, templates, and UI kits. By purchasing and using our products, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read the following carefully to understand the scope of the license and its limitations.

General License Terms

ShadCN Store grants you a non-exclusive and ongoing license to use our products for commercial and personal projects, including the creation of client work, websites, apps, and more. The only restriction is that you cannot sell or distribute our products for free.

License Requirements Based on Usage:

  • Team License: Required if more than one person will be using the files.
  • Premium Enterprise License: Required if more than 25 people will be using the files or if your company uses an Organization or Enterprise Figma workspace.

Common License Terms (Applies to Both Individual & Team Licenses)

ShadCN Store grants you a non-exclusive, ongoing license to use the components, templates, and UI kits under the terms outlined below.

You Can:

  • Use the components, templates, and UI kits to create unlimited End Products.
  • Modify the components, templates, and UI kits to create derivative components and templates. These derivatives are subject to the same license terms.
  • Use the components and templates to create End Products for unlimited clients.
  • Sell or distribute End Products that incorporate components and templates.
  • Create open-source End Products using the components and templates.

You Cannot:

  • Use the components or templates to create End Products that allow End Users to build their own products using the components or any derivative works.
  • Re-distribute the components, templates, or derivatives separately, whether in code or design assets.
  • Share your access to the components, templates, or UI kit with anyone else.
  • Use the components or templates to create products that ShadCN Store deems competitive or conflicting with its business.

Individual License

The Individual License grants one individual (the Licensee) access to ShadCN Store's components, templates, and UI kits.

You Can:

  • Use the components, templates, and UI kit for personal, commercial, and educational projects.
  • Create and sell End Products for unlimited clients.
  • Modify and create derivative works based on the components and templates for use in your End Products.

You cannot:

  • Share your access to the components, templates, or UI kit with others.
  • Create End Products that directly compete with ShadCN Store or conflict with its business.
  • Use the components or templates for teams or organizations (limited to a single user, the Licensee).

Example Usage (Allowed):

  • Building a personal website.
  • Creating a website or app for a client that is owned by the client.
  • Developing a commercial SaaS application (e.g., invoicing app) for paid End Users.

Example Usage (Not Allowed):

  • Creating and distributing a repository of ShadCN Store components publicly.
  • Creating a UI library and selling or distributing it for free.
  • Developing a 'website builder' where End Users can build their own websites using the components or templates.

Team License (Up to 25 Users)

The Team License allows up to 25 users (employees or contractors) within the Licensee's organization to access and use the components, templates, and UI kits.

You Can:

  • Use the components, templates, and UI kit for organizational projects.
  • Create End Products for unlimited clients.
  • Modify and create derivative works for internal End Products.
  • Provide access to the components, templates, and UI kit to up to 25 users.

You cannot:

  • Share your Team License with non-employees or contractors.
  • Use the components or templates for non-organizational personal projects.
  • Distribute access to ShadCN Store's materials to external third parties.

Example Usage (Allowed):

  • Creating internal tools or apps for your organization.
  • Building a client-facing website or web application.
  • Developing web apps or SaaS products for clients.

Example Usage (Not Allowed):

  • Creating and distributing ShadCN Store components publicly.
  • Sharing access to ShadCN Store components with non-client individuals.
  • Allowing external vendors to use the materials outside your organization.

License Definitions

  • Licensee: The individual or entity that purchases the license for ShadCN Store's products.
  • Components and Templates: Source code, design assets, and UI kits made available to the Licensee.
  • End Product: Any product (website, app, etc.) that incorporates ShadCN Store's components and templates.
  • End User: A user of the End Product.
  • Client: An individual or entity receiving customized professional services created using ShadCN Store's products.
  • Employee: A full-time or part-time worker of the Licensee.
  • Contractor: A person or entity contracted by the Licensee to perform services.

Free Blocks (MIT License)

ShadCN Store provides some components under the MIT License, which allows for free use, modification, and distribution with minimal restrictions.

MIT License Terms:

  • Permission is granted to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the free blocks.
  • You must include the copyright notice and this permission notice in all copies of the free blocks.
  • Free blocks are provided 'as is', without any warranties or guarantees. ShadCN Store is not liable for any claims or damages arising from the use of these blocks.

License Types Overview

Individual License

  • Who it's for: A single individual.
  • Usage: Personal, commercial, and educational projects.
  • Limitations: Cannot redistribute or resell ShadCN Store materials. Cannot be used for team or organization projects.

Team License

  • Who it's for: Teams of up to 25 users.
  • Usage: Unlimited commercial use within the team/organization.
  • Limitations: Redistribution and reselling are prohibited. Only team members (employees or contractors) can use the license.

By purchasing ShadCN Store products, you accept these terms and agree to follow the guidelines for licensing, redistribution, and usage outlined in this agreement.
